Polymerization Plastic Polylactic Acid for Agriculture

Polylactic acid (H-[OCHCH3CO] N-OH) has good thermal stability, processing temperature 170 ~ 230℃, good solvent resistance, can be processed in a variety of ways, such as extrusion, spinning, biaxial stretching, injection blow molding. Products made of POLylactic acid have good biocompatibility, gloss, transparency, feel and heat resistance in addition to biodegradation. Polylactic acid (PLA) also has a certain resistance to bacteria, flame retardant and UV resistance, so it is widely used as packaging materials, fibers and nonwovens, etc. At present, it is mainly used in clothing (underwear, outerwear), industry (construction, agriculture, forestry, paper making) and medical and health fields.

OrinBio PLA Resin

PLA as the representative of the third generation of degradable plastics, namely biodegradable plastics, under the action of microorganisms, break the long chain in the polymer, and finally completely decompose to CO2 and water to achieve complete biodegradation. Moreover, its raw materials come from the fermentation of corn and other materials, which belong to the bio-based source materials.

PBS, PBAT, PHA and other biodegradable plastics are also developing, which can theoretically achieve real green environmental protection and no environmental toxicity.

Biodegradable materials for home compostable films

M1000 Series

The home compostable grades are suitable for producing of low gauge films, which will biodegrade in garden compost at low, variable temperatures. The compostable grades have been certified by the Gmicro Testing. Films made from home compostable  grades have outstanding mechanical properties and moisture resistance. The range of possible applications includes multi-purpose bags and bags for fruit and vegetable packaging, mulching films and other packaging.
