Orinko
Polyamide 1012 (PA 1012, Nylon 1012) is synthesized through the polymerization of hexamethylene diamine and dodecanedioic acid. This material ranges from milky white to light yellow and translucent, combining the best properties of both nylon 6 and nylon 12. Nylon 6 provides a higher melting point and superior short-term temperature resistance, while nylon 12 offers low water absorption, excellent UV and chemical resistance, good hydrolysis and zinc chloride resistance, and high flexibility. Nylon 1012 can be processed using most standard methods. Common applications for nylon 610 include fuel lines, air lines, hoses and tubes, quick connectors, automotive cooling lines, and various injection-molded parts.
