Polyamide 1012 (PA 1012, Nylon 1012) is synthesized through the polymerization of hexamethylene diamine and dodecanedioic acid. This material, which ranges from milky white to light yellow and is translucent, combines the beneficial properties of both nylon 6 and nylon 12. Nylon 6 provides a higher melting point and superior short-term temperature resistance, while nylon 12 offers low water absorption, outstanding UV and chemical resistance, excellent hydrolysis and zinc chloride resistance, and high flexibility. Nylon 1012 can be processed using most standard techniques. Common applications for nylon 1012 include fuel lines, air lines, hoses and tubes, quick connectors, automotive cooling lines, and various injection-molded components.
It can be widely used in the automotive industry, machinery manufacturing(ol containers, textile machinery parts), and in the electronicindustry for making battrey casings, instrument rails, etc. t can also be used as bristles of toothbrushes, monoflaments and cablecorerings, etc.lt can be customized in injection and extrusion grade according to customers requirements.
