ORINKO polyamide 612
Properties:
Low Water Absorption:
Compared to other nylons (e.g., PA6, PA66), PA612 exhibits significantly lower water absorption, resulting in better dimensional stability and resistance to moisture.
Chemical Resistance:
Highly resistant to various chemicals such as oils, fuels, and solvents, making it ideal for applications requiring long-term chemical exposure.
Excellent Heat Resistance:
PA612 has a high heat deflection temperature and maintains its mechanical properties under moderate to high temperatures.
Superior Mechanical Properties:
Combines high strength and toughness, with excellent impact resistance, even at low temperatures.
Chemical and physical properties:
The chemical and physical properties of PA6 are similar to those of PA66; however, it has a lower melting point and a wide process temperature range. Its impact resistance and solubility are better than PA66, but it is also more hygroscopic.
Since many quality characteristics of plastic parts are affected by hygroscopicity, this should be fully taken into account when designing products using PA6. In order to improve the mechanical properties of PA6, a variety of modifiers are often added.
Automotive Industry:
Fuel system components (e.g., fuel lines, connectors).
Engine parts and coolant system tubing.
Components requiring high-temperature and chemical resistance.
Electronics and Electrical Field:
Insulation components.
High-frequency connectors and housings for electrical parts.
